The Matcha Mates was born from a decade-long friendship and a shared passion for exceptional matcha.
What began as a common appreciation for quality matcha evolved into a vision to make authentic, premium matcha more accessible. Every product we offer reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and creating meaningful everyday rituals.

We don't believe well-being comes from optimization alone. We believe it grows through nourishment, presence, and connection. Matcha simply happens to be our favourite way to bring those things together.
Today's wellness culture often revolves around optimizing the body; what we eat, how we perform, and how we can become healthier, stronger, or more productive. While we deeply value what we put into our bodies, we believe well-being extends far beyond that.

That's why we started with matcha.
We source our matcha directly from one of the most respected family farms in Uji, Japan; a family that shares our values of craftsmanship, integrity, and care. Their dedication allows us to offer matcha of exceptional quality.
But for us, matcha is more than an extraordinary product. It's a reason to pause, gather, and create meaningful moments. Whether you're enjoying a matcha in one of our partner coffee shops or joining one of our events, our hope is that every cup brings people together!

We have been best friends for over a decade. Throughout the years, we have shared countless conversations about food, health, and the small rituals that make life feel more balanced. Those conversations eventually grew into a shared vision and our company The Matcha Mates.
We wanted to build something we could truly stand behind; one focus product of exceptional quality, created with care, and rooted in values we genuinely believe in. For us, entrepreneurship isn't just about creating a business; it's about contributing something meaningful. Something that brings people together, encourages slower moments, and adds value to everyday life. And of course about having a lot of fun while we're at it!
